Jim La Marche is a researcher working on the Global Terrorism Database (GTD). He is currently finishing his studies for his Masterís degree at the John C. Whitehead School of Diplomacy and International Relations at Seton Hall University. His studies are centered on International Negotiation and Resolution as well as Foreign Policy Analysis.
Prior to his research work with the GTD, Mr. La Marche studied Political Science at Arizona State University. During his studies, he received an Advanced Italian Language Certificate from Dante Alighieri Scuola di Lingua in Florence, Italy. In addition to Italian, he is studying Arabic, French, Spanish, and Russian.
Mr. La Marche is interested in the factors that lead individuals to pursue terrorism as a method to advance political, economical, and social goals. He hopes to continue this research in some capacity with the federal government.
