Andrew E. Johnson is a researcher working on the Global Terrorism Database (GTD). He is currently a M.A. candidate in International Security at the Graduate School of International Studies at the University of Denver, where he is focusing on issues of security in the Middle East, political Islam, and terrorism. He will be spending the latter half of 2007 in Amman, Jordan, studying Arabic and Middle Eastern culture at the University of Jordan.

Prior to his research work with the GTD, Mr. Johnson studied international affairs at the Institute of International Education in Paris, France. While studying in Paris he worked with North-African immigrants. He also taught English and lectured on American politics at a college preparatory school in Marseille, France.

Mr. Johnson currently resides in Denver, Colorado.
