Eli Groener is a researcher working on the Global Terrorism Database (GTD). He is also a B.S. candidate in International Relations and Diplomacy at the Whitehead School of Diplomacy with minors in French and Economics. Mr. Groener's coursework has included international terrorism, international negotiation and mediation, and comparative foreign policy.
Prior to his research work, Eli served as an Assistant International Trade Specialist for the U.S. Department of Commerce where he performed market research reports and economic analysis. In the summer of 2006, he received a Marandon Fellowship to study abroad in Paris at the prestigious Sorbonne University. In May of 2007, Eli traveled to China as part of a delegation from Seton Hall where he studied Chinese culture, history and the formulation of Chinese foreign policy. He would like to continue his studies as a graduate student studying American foreign policy and international security.
