Janice Duchene is a researcher working on the Global Terrorism Database (GTD). She is currently an M.A. candidate in International Studies with a concentration in Human Rights at the Graduate School of International Studies at the University of Denver. Ms. Duchene has a keen interest in studying the correlation between terrorism, human rights, and international security. She also is currently working as an extern for the United Nations Rwanda Criminal Tribunal, where she is helping to compile witness testimony.
Ms. Duchene graduated from Brown University in May 2004 with a B.A. in international relations. She served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Turkmenistan, taught English and German in Spain, and also worked as a research assistant for UNESCO in the area of education and conflict before coming to the University of Denver in the fall of 2006.
